We need your suggestions on this. We're thinking about producing a User's Handbook for Juno E-mail.Such users need a very basic handbook that will walk them through the screens and serve as a ready reference-reminder in case they don't use it very frequently; or tells them how to get back where they were in case they accidentally clicked the wrong button. This book would include screenshots and basic instructions for setting up and navigating, troubleshooting hints and Frequently Asked Questions. It would not be a highly technical book. It would be bundled with a CD ROM with the latest Juno software and would cost about $10 plus postage. There is a pretty good book on Juno available now, titled, strangely
enough "Juno", by Bob Rankin. This is an excellent book for someone who
wants to get into it further than simple e-mail. You might want to take
a look at it. Now comes your part--do you think a simple book like the one
I described would be useful? Would it sell well over the internet?
What would be important to cover? (Remember, we need to keep it simple
so it's easy to find things in it) Could it be marketed with a pretty good
quantity discount to Seniors' groups? Where else?
If we do it, we'll give a 50% discount certificate for the book to anyone
who contributes suggestions at this stage. Even if we don't do it,
we'll give a 20% discount coupon for our other books to anyone who sends
suggestions. You can see a list of our current books at sciencehumanitiespress.com

juno.com offers a free E-mail connection that is very straightforward, easy to use and only connects to send and receive messages. The only cost is that you are exposed to a few advertising messages. Most locations (95%) have local numbers to connect, but even if your friend is in the boonies, the connection times are so short it wouldn't cost much for long distance.
There are some limitations--The new Full service Juno allows a lot more:
